We begin a new training outreach for Refractive Technicians.
As we all know this role requires a high level of expertise and experience to master. Every step of the diagnostic exam is critical. The more complete our technicians’ knowledge is, the better able they are to perform accurate diagnostic exams and refractions, make the patient feel at ease, and catch mistakes before they happen.
With the mission of supporting, and training the very best refractive technicians, we have curated a lecture series to be given by technicians, for technicians.

ABOUT RSA JOURNAL CLUB
These webinars are open to all ophthalmic colleagues – residents, fellows, and surgeons – both RSA members and colleagues. Please feel free to invite your colleagues to join us as your guest. We believe this series provides awareness about cornerstone concepts in refractive surgery. The peer-review literature is replete with content—some relevant, some not so relevant. The purpose of the RSA Journal Club is to highlight “landmark” articles that should be front of mind for every RSA surgeon and to provide a forum to discuss them in detail.
What makes this series so special is that the articles are not only discussed, they are often times presented by the authors themselves, providing a unique insight into the papers.
