Bradley Sifrig, MD grew up in small-town Michigan before moving to warmer climates to get his undergraduate degree in Biology at Florida Gulf Coast University. He continued his education at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he graduated number one in his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Sifrig then completed his internship year at Orange Park Medical Center before moving to Dallas, Texas for his ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
During his ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern, one of the busiest surgical programs in the country, Dr. Sifrig trained in modern cataract surgery, laser cataract surgery, and advanced technology lens implants including toric, EDOF, and multifocal lenses. He also discovered a special interest in modern refractive surgery. This interest came naturally – most of his family members have had LASIK and would universally agree it was one of the best decisions they ever made. Following residency, Dr. Sifrig joined Porter Ophthalmology as a fellow of the Refractive Surgery Alliance to further his mastery of refractive surgery.
When not busy in the clinic, Dr. Sifrig enjoys spending free time with family and friends and getting outdoors. He has camped in over twenty national parks over the past three years and is always ready for the next amazing hike. On any given Saturday in the Fall, Dr. Sifrig can be found surrounded by friends cheering on the Florida Gators football team.
