Brent Kramer, MD is an ophthalmology resident at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He grew up on a family farm in rural Minnesota before becoming a first-generation college student at South Dakota State University. He continued his training at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine where he received his Medical Degree. Upon completion of his training, Brent and his wife Shanna hope to return to the Midwest. While still in the midst of training, Brent has a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery.
Aside from ophthalmology, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife, Shanna, and Vizsla, Nymeria. An outdoorsman, he’s always looking for something to do outside: hiking, hunting, snowboarding, anything. Brent is also a Minnesota sports fan, through and through.
