Krishna Surapaneni, MD

Krishna Surapaneni, MD is a board-certified, highly skilled, and fellowship-trained cataract, refractive, cornea, and glaucoma surgeon. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Wake Forest University where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he completed anterior segment fellowship training at Vold Vision, one of the busiest and most innovative programs in the country. He then went on to complete an additional refractive surgery fellowship with the RSA at Carrot LASIK and Eye Center.

Dr. Surapaneni is widely published in the field of Ophthalmology and has been involved in the development of multiple surgical devices. He is currently serving as a board member of a non-profit whose focus is to improve patient education about eye diseases. Passionate about international health, he established an HIV clinic in rural Kenya. More recently, he went to Honduras on a medical mission trip where he conducted cataract surgery and corneal transplants.

Dr. Surapaneni is notably the first ophthalmologist in the United States to have the SMILE procedure and enjoys his glasses-free 20/10 vision.

As a Houston native, Dr. Surapaneni offers a full range of vision correction procedures to help his fellow Houstonians achieve great vision. His goal is to provide the highest quality care for his patients, and he prides himself on building long-lasting relationships with each of them.
