Cornelia Vremes, MBA, PhD EdD currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer at Kugler Vision located in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a key role that provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that proper operational and administrative controls, and human capital are in place to effectively grow the organization while focusing on its financial strength and operational efficiency. Prior to this role, Cornelia served as the Manager of Projects and Initiatives at a prominent academic medical center in the region. In that role, Cornelia led the project and capital planning function by organizing and prioritizing capital and strategic initiatives as well as providing project management oversight of initiatives in support of the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Furthermore, as part of her financial management experience, Cornelia managed the annual budget process, reviewed cost accounting and benchmarking, performed monthly financial reviews that helped facilitate effective and meaningful management decisions.
As an accomplished and successful leader with extensive financial and project management experience, Cornelia possesses a breadth of knowledge and expertise that will enable her to meaningfully contribute to the success and growth of RSA Society. Additionally, Cornelia will bring leadership expertise combined with a natural ability to cultivate relationships, foster collaboration, and create an environment of knowledge sharing and excellence.
Healthcare, particularly the vision correction service, is a dynamic, unique, and ever changing field. It is a field that allows Cornelia to apply her diverse experience in project and financial management and operational improvement when facing complex problems requiring deep understanding and insight to generate solutions, or provide vision and direction to organizational initiatives.
Being a lifelong learner, Cornelia strives to instill the same passion for learning in colleagues by sharing her knowledge and insights. Cornelia received her Master’s in Business Administration and Doctorate in Leadership from Creighton University. Her doctoral dissertation focused on dyad leadership in healthcare settings. Cornelia is currently teaching graduate courses in healthcare finance, project management, and leadership studies.
In addition to her professional and academic career, Cornelia is actively involved in the community. She currently serves as a board member for local non-profits that support various causes from poverty alleviation to arts and education. Cornelia also participated in Leadership Omaha (Class 40) and served as a Young Professional Council member, both prestigious leadership programs offered through Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
