Joaquin De Rojas, MD is a practicing cataract, refractive, and corneal surgeon at Center For Sight / US Eye, headquartered in Sarasota, Florida.
He graduated with Honors from Boston College, completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, residency training at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia University, and Cornea and Refractive Fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. De Rojas’ special interests include technology, innovation, and strategic management. He believes in providing compassionate care, collaboration with peers, and the constant evaluation and updating of clinical protocols in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Dr. De Rojas is happily married to fellow refractive and cornea surgeon Dr. Priya Mathews. They have a new addition to the family: a young daughter. In his spare time, Dr. De Rojas enjoys exercise, outdoor activities, and reading.
