Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Vinicius De Stefano, MD, PhD received his Medical Degree from the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He went on to complete his first of two ophthalmology residencies and a refractive surgery fellowship at the same institute, the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In 2015, Dr. De Stefano moved to the United States. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in corneal biomechanics at the Cleveland Clinic under the direction of William Dupps, MD, PhD after which time he went on to complete an additional year-long cornea fellowship under the supervision of Karolinne M. Rocha, MD, PhD and George O. Waring IV, MD at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, NC. Dr De Stefano is currently completing a second ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
In his free time, Dr De Stefano enjoys spending time with his family, going to sporting events and snowboarding.
