Cristina Rivera Durán, MD is a young ophthalmologist in the Dominican Republic, currently completing a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery as Centro Laser in the Dominican Republic. Her goal is to help people to see the world as best as they can.
Dr. Durán keeps up with the latest technologies in ophthalmic surgery as the possibility of improving people’s quality of life by correcting their refractive error is what motivates and moves her to practice refractive surgery.
Dr. Durán attended Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo’s medical school graduating Cum Laude in 2013, completing her Ophthalmology Residency in Hospital Central de las Fuerzas Armadas at Santo Domingo immediately following. Currently, Dr. Durán is training to be a córnea and refractive surgeon with Dr. Juan Batlle Logroño.
