Jonathan Joffe, MBChB is an ophthalmologist based in Windhoek, Namibia, and the founder of Olympia Eye & Laser Centre. For more than three decades Dr Joffe has dedicated his practice to providing excellent eye care to our patients across Namibia and the surrounding region. Dr Joffe’ philosophy is centered on improving quality of life through sight, combining advanced technology with patient-focused care. Restoring and enhancing vision is one of the most rewarding ways to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

He is passionate about bringing the field of refractive surgery and comprehensive eye care to Namibians and ensuring that patients has access to technologies and treatments that are comparable with leading international centres.
Dr Joffe completed his medical training in Cape Town, South Africa obtaining the MBChB degree in 1979. He is a recognised Eye Specialist with the South African Fellow of the College of Surgeons degree since 1990. Dr Joffe brings more than 30 years’ experience in ophthalmology to Namibia and he is a pioneer in the field of refractive surgery in Namibia. Dr Joffe has learnt from the masters in refractive surgery and maintained this learning via annual International Congresses via my Peers internationally and also online learning to keep up to date in all fields of refractive and corneal surgery.
Dr Joffe’s personal interests and community involvement include a range of sporting interests keeping generally fit and active. Through the Olympia Eye & Laser Centre, Dr Joffe supports numerous educational and community initiatives aimed at improving access to quality eye care.
