Joshua Vrabec MD is a Board-Certified refractive and cataract surgeon in Rochester Hills MI and is the founder of the Clear Vision Center. He has over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, personally performing over 5000 vision-correcting procedures such as cataract surgery and LASIK. He served in clinical academic and leadership roles at the University of Michigan’s Kellogg Eye Center prior to starting his own practice in 2019. He has a passion for outstanding patient outcomes and is committed to providing safe and effective techniques and lens implant options for his patients. His practice philosophy is to match the patient to the optimal surgical procedure for their unique characteristics and needs, ensuring not only excellent results but a premium, end-to-end patient experience.
Dr. Vrabec is motivated to stay at the leading edge of technology for both testing and surgical equipment, ensuring that his patients achieve the best possible outcomes. He has a particular interest in modern refractive surgery techniques such as custom LASIK, PRK, ICL, and custom lens replacement (refractive lens exchange). He is highly experienced with advanced technology lens implants (IOL) such as the PanOptix, Vivity, and Toric lens implants, as well as the light-adjustable lens by RxSight. At his practice, the Clear Vision Center, he offers all procedures in a newly constructed office-based procedure suite, ensuring a custom and comfortable patient experience.
Dr. Vrabec has been named to the peer-nominated Top Docs annually since 2014 and held numerous leadership positions at the University of Michigan during his tenure there. He has participated in eye surgery mission trips to Haiti, Mexico, and the Philippines, helping hundreds of indigent patients with blindness restore their vision with cataract surgery.
He lives in Rochester Hills Michigan with his family and four children and enjoys mountain biking and trail running in the beautiful Michigan countryside.
