James Kelly, MD

James Kelly MD is a refractive surgeon in New York City since 1997. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Cornell University Medical College and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He practices ophthalmology in order to fulfill a lifelong ambition of providing great vision for his patients.

His patients can expect to receive excellence in clinical competency, compassion, and results. Patients are more than just a name and a pair of eyes. They can expect to be treated holistically.

Dr. Kelly is enthusiastic to be able to utilize rapidly progressing state-of-the-art technology on a daily basis to change the lives of patients to provide a greater outlook on their world.

Dr. Kelly is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also proud to be a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Kelly is an academic mentor for the International School of Optometry in Puerto Rico and a clinical instructor for Alcon Surgical for which he certifies other surgeons on various lasers and techniques. He has distinguished himself by scoring in the top 2% in the United States on the written certification for ophthalmology.

Dr. Kelly is an avid tennis player, skier, and runner. He loves to travel.
