Malka Davina Kirschenbaum, MD is an ophthalmology resident at Georgetown University Hospital. She was born and raised in New York City. She knew she was passionate about medicine from a young age, and she set out to achieve her goals by attending the prestigious Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, an abbreviated B.S./M.D. program where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in biomedical education. She completed her final two years of medical school at the New York Medical College, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Kirschenbaum completed her internship at Presbyterian- St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, CO before moving to Washington, DC to begin her ophthalmology training.
Dr. Kirschenbaum is passionate about helping patients to regain enjoyment from sight. She recognizes the important role of refractive surgery in enabling patients to obtain that goal. She looks forward to continuing her relationship with the Refractive Surgery Alliance as she proceeds with her career.
