Gregg Miller, MD is a chief resident at Krieger Eye Institute of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore who is completing his final year of training before setting off to New York City as a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a focus in cataract and refractive surgery. His other interests in ophthalmology include oculoplastics, medical retina, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery, and global health.
Dr. Miller’s key drive in his practice of ophthalmology is improving quality of life for his patients. He is committed to achieving the best possible vision outcomes through a patient-centered approach that offers an up-to-date armamentarium of treatment options. Specifically, Dr. Miller finds refractive surgery to be rewarding not only because it improves his patients’ vision and quality of life, but also because it requires an understanding of patients beyond the anatomy of their eyes. Dr. Miller is always vigilant toward the specific needs of his patients, including their overall medical health, identity, language, and barriers to eye care. He is driven to deliver care in English and Spanish.
Dr. Miller is originally from New Hampshire and graduated from Boston University with degrees in neuroscience and Spanish before spending two years at the National Institutes of Health conducting neuroimaging research on addiction, sleep, obesity, and the brain connectome. He returned to Boston to pursue his MD at Tufts University School of Medicine then moved to Baltimore for ophthalmology residency. During his training, he has taken on roles to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at his hospital as well as support mentorship and advocacy through the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s LGBTQ+ Community.
Dr. Miller enjoys hiking, biking, water sports, writing music, and exploring food scenes.
