Cameron Paladino, MD, is a board-certified Cataract, Refractive, and Cornea surgeon at Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk, VA. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University for undergraduate education, and then went on to earn his MD at the University of Missouri. After returning to his alma mater to complete ophthalmology residency, he then completed a fellowship in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Paladino is particularly interested in refractive surgery and the life-enhancing effects it can have for his patients. Dr. Paladino uses a combination of examination, testing, and patient interviews to decide on which of the latest surgical techniques and technologies would best fit the needs of his patients. Currently, he offers a range of procedures, including refractive lens exchange, LASIK, and PRK.
Dr. Paladino emphasizes safety and meticulous planning when it comes to refractive surgery patient selection so that he can provide excellent outcomes. A thorough discussion of patient needs, expectations, as well as risks and benefits, allows for an informed conversation so that his patients are comfortable making a shared decision about refractive surgery.
