Andrew Thomson, MD

Andrew Thomson, MD is an ophthalmology resident at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr Thomson has made multiple publications exploring refractive surgery techniques and how to achieve the best refractive outcomes. He plans to incorporate this experience in his practice to give his patients the best vision possible.

Dr Thomson earned a bachelor of science in biology with a healthcare studies minor at the University of Texas at Dallas earning Summa cum laude. He studied medicine at the University of McGovern Medical School in Houston and spent a year as a research fellow working with Dr. Bala Ambati at his cornea and refractive surgery practice in Oregon.

Dr Thomson is also a Member of the Resident Curating Committee for the Refractive Surgery Alliance (RSA) 2024 – 2025 Residents Online Course.
