Michael Waggoner, DO is a specialist in Cataract and LASIK/Refractive surgery as well as endothelial keratoplasty (corneal transplant), dry eye, pterygium and anterior segment disease. Based at ICON Eyecare – Grand Junction as part of the Dr. Hoffman team, Dr. Waggoner provides residents of Colorado’s Western Slope high-end, specialized medical and surgical eye care including cornea subspecialty care.
Dr. Waggoner received his medical training at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed an internship and residency at the University of Missouri. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. Dr. Waggoner is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
He is married to his high school sweetheart and together they are the proud parents of three children who love to play outside.
